BUILDING EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS
Slypsteen Development Centre builds cooperative partnerships between educational institutions, the business- and industrial sector as well as civil society. These partnerships, known as learning enterprises, bring all education- and development stakeholders on one platform together to create a collaborative network for learning and development, with the school at the heart of the enterprise.
Learners and students are the primary benefactors.
The learning enterprise is designed to bring a broad range of educational- and developmental projects, such as projects for leadership- or entrepreneurship development and others, in a structured way to schools.

THE EDEN KAROO LEARNING ENTERPRISE
A first in South Africa, the Eden Karoo Learning Enterprise brings together, on one collaborative platform, all schools in the Eden & Klein Karoo Education District, as well as businesses and civil society organizations, to develop a learning environment for Life Orientation learning and Study- and Career Development.
Schools enter into partnerships with local businesses and civil society organizations to facilitate extracurricular projects in support of the school-own curriculum and/or based on regional needs.
These partnerships help build a learning environment where pupils can explore a world of opportunities, from within the safe space of the school and guided by their teachers or mentors.
